Brand Redesign & Style Guide

In an attempt to revitalize the heritage perfume brand Santa Maria Novella, I designed a new typographic logo mark with accompanying branding and its subsequent style guide. My logo mark was an exploration in a custom typeface that felt more modern while still referencing the personal and homemade nature of the brand’s history. 

After creating the logo mark, I devised a visual system in which the scents of the perfume (flowers and fruits) would be beautifully laid behind the logo while interacting with and overlapping it. I later included a series of stamps, images of italian landscapes, to further reference Santa Maria Novella’s humble beginnings in Italy.
